Women's Hormone Replacement Therapy in Mesa Eastmark, AZ

Mesa Eastmark Women's HRT Program

Our Mesa Eastmark office is a nurse practitioner-led wellness clinic in the Eastmark community of southeast Mesa. The office sits on Point Twenty-Two Boulevard near the Banner Health Center at Eastmark, with easy access from Loop 202 for patients across Queen Creek, Apache Junction, and Gold Canyon.

Women's hormone replacement therapy is medically supervised treatment for hormonal imbalances that affect quality of life. The women's HRT program at our Mesa Eastmark office is led by Chad Dance, FNP-C, MSN, MS, whose five-plus years of ICU experience at a Level II trauma center shaped how the clinic approaches every service. Testing before prescriptions. Honest evaluations. Clinical rigor instead of wellness marketing.

Keystone offers three targeted solutions for women: estrogen replacement therapy (ERT), menopause therapy, and bioidentical hormone pellets. Each addresses a specific pattern of symptoms.

Hormonal Imbalance in Women

Progesterone and estrogen are the two primary female hormones. The majority of these hormones are produced by the ovaries. Both are known for their role in regulating the female reproductive system, but they are also responsible for the health of the cardiac system, metabolism, skin health, and emotional health.

When the levels of estrogen, progesterone, or both are altered, women experience hormonal imbalance. The most well-known cause is perimenopause, the transitional phase right before menopause when the levels of both estrogen and progesterone start to decline. Other causes include contraceptives, pregnancy, cancer medication, endocrine disorders, and lifestyle factors like stress or poor diet.

Common symptoms of hormone imbalance in women include:

  • Hot flashes and night sweats
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Headaches
  • Depression and mood changes
  • Irregular periods
  • Fatigue
  • Weight gain
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Bone loss

These symptoms overlap with many other conditions. That is why hormone testing matters. Prescribing hormone therapy without measured baseline levels is not medicine, it is guessing. At our Mesa Eastmark office, we test before we treat.

Who Comes to Our Mesa Eastmark Office for HRT

Our Mesa Eastmark patient base is different from our Gilbert location. We see a wider age range here, including a significant number of patients from the Sunland Springs active adult community, where the average age skews older than typical wellness clinics see.

That changes how we approach women's HRT. A 42-year-old in Eastmark navigating early perimenopause has a different clinical picture than a 66-year-old retiree in Sunland Springs who has been postmenopausal for a decade while managing other conditions. Both can benefit from HRT. The therapy choice, dose targeting, and follow-up cadence differ. Chad's ICU background makes both patient types manageable in the same clinic.

We see women from across Mesa, Queen Creek, Apache Junction, Gold Canyon, and the surrounding master-planned communities. Most of our Queen Creek patients choose our Mesa Eastmark office over driving further north or west because the location is closer and the parking is easier.

Is Women's Hormone Replacement Right for You?

Clinically, women's HRT is appropriate for adult women experiencing symptoms of perimenopause, menopause, or documented hormonal imbalance. Women whose symptoms are mild and resolve on their own may not need therapy. That gets said directly during the consultation rather than papered over with a treatment plan.

This clinical rigor matters especially at our Mesa Eastmark office, where we see a significant number of older patients from Sunland Springs. Managing hormone therapy in patients with more complex medical histories is not a med-spa skill set. Chad's ICU background handles that complexity in a way wellness-only practices cannot.

Our Women's Hormone Solutions

Keystone offers three targeted solutions for women's hormonal imbalance. Each addresses a specific pattern of symptoms and stage of life. Your provider will help you decide which one fits your situation.

Estrogen Replacement Therapy (ERT)

As women approach menopause, the levels of naturally produced estrogen start to decrease. This can cause various symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, and vaginal dryness.

Estrogen replacement therapy is a type of hormone replacement treatment used to relieve these symptoms and replace low-level estrogen. ERT helps relieve the symptoms of menopause, protects against osteoporosis (thinning and loss of bone mass), and lowers the risks of developing breast cancer.

Menopause Therapy

Not every woman will experience severe menopause symptoms that disrupt her everyday life. Many women find their symptoms are mild and resolve on their own.

Women that experience uncomfortable menopause will require therapy. Menopause therapy consists of medication prescribed by a provider to treat various hormone imbalance symptoms such as hot flashes and vaginal dryness.

During menopause, a woman's ovaries can produce very low levels of estrogen and progesterone. The goal of hormone therapy is to replace some of these hormones to reduce symptoms and improve quality of life.

Bioidentical Hormone Pellets

Bioidentical hormones come from plants, unlike synthetics, which come from animals. Since their chemical composition is more similar to natural hormones found in your body, bioidentical hormones are considered a strong option for women seeking a more natural approach.

Hormone pellets are the shape and size of a grain of rice. They are inserted under the skin in the hip area during a short in-office procedure. They release small amounts of hormones (estrogen, testosterone, or both) directly into the bloodstream, mimicking the human body's natural process.

Pellets appeal to Sunland Springs and Cadence patients who want steady hormone levels without daily medication. Once placed, the pellets typically last several months before the next insertion.

How to Choose the Right Solution

You do not have to choose alone. That is the point of seeing a provider.

Your provider will review your medical history, current symptoms, stage of life (perimenopause, menopause, or postmenopause), any previous hormone therapy, and your goal timeline. From there, the recommendation is the solution most likely to work for your specific situation.

For women whose symptoms are anchored in perimenopause or early menopause, we often start with estrogen replacement therapy or menopause therapy. For women looking for a more natural, steady-state option, bioidentical hormone pellets may be a better fit.

The right recommendation depends on you. When your hormones stabilize, meaningful shifts in daily life often follow: better sleep, more manageable mood, higher energy, and renewed motivation.

Pricing

Pricing for every women's HRT solution is on the services pricing page. Estrogen replacement therapy is the most affordable starting point. Bioidentical pellets cost more upfront but last longer between visits.

Insurance coverage for women's HRT varies. Some plans cover FDA-approved menopause medications when prescribed for clinically diagnosed conditions. Most do not cover compounded bioidentical formulations or pellet insertions. Keystone is an out-of-network practice and does not bill insurance directly. Patients use HSA, FSA, or financing through Cherry.

What Your First Visit Looks Like

Your first visit takes about 45 minutes. Your provider reviews your medical history, current symptoms, and menstrual or menopause history. Baseline lab work is ordered when appropriate.

For Queen Creek patients, the drive to our Eastmark office is usually under fifteen minutes. The parking is straightforward and our office is on the ground floor with easy access.

Once labs are in, you return for a follow-up visit to review results and discuss options. If your labs and symptoms confirm hormonal imbalance and there are no contraindications, we can start you on the recommended therapy. We do not prescribe hormone therapy without seeing the full clinical picture.

Follow-up cadence depends on your solution. Pellet insertions are typically scheduled every few months. Menopause therapy and ERT are monitored at regular intervals to keep your levels in the optimal range.

Meet Your Provider

Chad Dance, FNP-C, MSN, MS, is the lead Family Nurse Practitioner overseeing the women's hormone replacement program at our Mesa Eastmark office. Two master's degrees, board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, with over thirteen years of combined nursing and NP experience.

Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Chad spent more than five years as an ICU nurse at a Level II trauma center in Idaho, caring for critically ill medical, surgical, neurological, and open-heart surgery patients. That background is particularly relevant at our Mesa Eastmark office, where the patient mix includes older women from Sunland Springs and Mountain Vista Medical Center's patient base. Managing HRT in patients with complex medical histories is not a med-spa skill set.

Chad is fluent in Spanish, both conversational and medical. Spanish-speaking patients can request a Spanish-language appointment when booking. Habla español.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does women's HRT cost in Mesa?

Estrogen replacement therapy is the most affordable starting point at our Mesa Eastmark office. Bioidentical hormone pellets cost more upfront but last several months between insertions. Menopause therapy pricing depends on the medication prescribed. The services pricing page lists every solution. HSA, FSA, and financing through Cherry are accepted.

Do you offer women's HRT in Eastmark specifically?

Yes. Our Mesa Eastmark office is physically located in the Eastmark community at 10706 East Point Twenty-Two Boulevard, near the Banner Health Center at Eastmark. We offer the full women's HRT program from this location, including ERT, menopause therapy, and bioidentical hormone pellets.

What is estrogen replacement therapy (ERT)?

Estrogen replacement therapy is a type of hormone replacement treatment used to replace the estrogen that naturally declines as women approach menopause. ERT helps relieve symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, and vaginal dryness. It also protects against osteoporosis and lowers the risk of developing breast cancer.

What are hormone pellets?

Hormone pellets are bioidentical hormones derived from plants and shaped roughly the size of a grain of rice. They are inserted under the skin in the hip area during a short in-office procedure. Each pellet releases small amounts of hormones directly into the bloodstream, mimicking the body's natural release process.

What are common symptoms of hormone imbalance in women?

Common symptoms include hot flashes, night sweats, trouble sleeping, headaches, depression, mood changes, irregular periods, fatigue, weight gain, vaginal dryness, and bone loss. These symptoms overlap with many other conditions, which is why hormone testing matters before starting treatment.

Do you accept patients from Queen Creek?

Yes. Queen Creek is one of our primary service markets at our Mesa Eastmark office. Most of Queen Creek is within fifteen minutes of our Eastmark location, often under ten. Many of our HRT patients drive from Queen Creek because we are closer than competing wellness clinics further west.

Do I need lab work before starting HRT?

Yes in most cases. We do not prescribe hormone therapy without a clinical evaluation. Your first visit includes a review of your medical history, current symptoms, and menstrual or menopause history. Baseline labs are ordered when appropriate to identify which hormone is out of balance and guide the treatment plan.

Is women's HRT covered by insurance?

Insurance coverage varies. Some plans cover FDA-approved menopause medications when prescribed for clinically diagnosed conditions. Most plans do not cover compounded bioidentical formulations or pellet insertions. We are an out-of-network practice and do not bill insurance directly. Patients use HSA, FSA, or financing through Cherry.

Do I need a referral for HRT at Keystone?

No. Family Nurse Practitioners are licensed independent providers in Arizona. New patients schedule directly. Bring any relevant recent lab work or menopause records from previous providers, and we will review them during intake.

Who is a good candidate for women's HRT in Mesa?

Good candidates are adult women experiencing symptoms of perimenopause, menopause, or documented hormonal imbalance. They want a provider relationship with ongoing monitoring rather than a mail-order prescription. They understand hormone therapy is a long-term treatment. They want honest evaluation and appropriate follow-up.
