Regenerative Therapy in Gilbert, AZ

Gilbert Regenerative Therapy Program

Regenerative medicine uses advanced therapies such as Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and stem cell injections to support the body's natural healing and repair processes. These treatments may help promote tissue regeneration, support joint function, reduce inflammation, and enhance overall wellness without surgery.

The regenerative therapy program at our Gilbert office is led by Chad Dance, FNP-C, MSN, MS. Chad's extensive knowledge in pain management combined with his ICU background makes him well-suited to guide patients through non-surgical pain treatment options.

Keystone offers two main categories of regenerative therapy: Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) in two forms, and stem cell therapy for specific body regions including knees, elbows, shoulders, hands, wrists, feet, and ankles.

How Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Works

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is an advanced regenerative treatment that uses concentrated platelets derived from blood to support the body's natural healing and repair processes. Rich in growth factors and healing proteins, PRP can help stimulate tissue regeneration, reduce inflammation, and promote healthier skin and joint function.

For joint health, PRP is commonly used to support joint comfort, mobility, and recovery. By delivering a concentrated source of healing platelets directly to the affected area, PRP may help:

  • Reduce joint discomfort and inflammation
  • Support the body's natural repair processes
  • Improve mobility and function
  • Promote recovery from chronic wear and tear
  • Support active lifestyles and healthy aging

Common treatment areas include knees, shoulders, hips, elbows, and other joints affected by injury, overuse, or age-related changes.

For skin rejuvenation, PRP is a natural option for skin revitalization and anti-aging. When applied or injected into targeted areas, PRP stimulates collagen production and cellular renewal.

Is Regenerative Therapy Right for You?

Regenerative therapy is appropriate for adults dealing with chronic joint pain, injury recovery, or age-related wear who want a non-surgical option. It is especially useful for patients who have tried conservative treatments (rest, physical therapy, over-the-counter medications) without adequate relief and want to avoid surgery.

Most patients who succeed with regenerative therapy at our Gilbert office share three things. They understand this is a process, not a one-time fix. They have specific joint or tissue issues rather than generalized pain. They want a provider with genuine clinical background to evaluate whether PRP or stem cell therapy is the right approach.

Chad's pain management and ICU experience matters here. Regenerative therapies work best when the underlying condition is properly diagnosed and monitored. Wellness-only providers often lack the clinical framework for that.

PRP Options at Keystone Medical Wellness

Keystone offers two PRP options to fit different patient needs.

Traditional PRP (Your Own Platelets): Traditional PRP uses your body's own platelets and growth factors to support natural healing and tissue repair. The process begins with a simple blood draw, similar to routine laboratory testing. The blood is then placed in a specialized centrifuge that separates and concentrates the platelets, creating a platelet-rich solution that contains a higher concentration of growth factors than is normally found in circulating blood.

Because PRP is created from your own blood, it is a personalized treatment with minimal risk of allergic reaction or rejection.

Advanced Platelet-Rich Support: Advanced Platelet-Rich Support is a regenerative therapy option that provides concentrated platelet-derived growth factors and signaling proteins designed to support the body's natural healing response. Unlike traditional PRP, which requires a blood draw and processing of the patient's own blood, this treatment utilizes laboratory-prepared platelet-derived factors that are ready for use at the time of your appointment.

Advanced Platelet-Rich Support may be an excellent option for patients who are not ideal candidates for traditional PRP, have low platelet counts, prefer to avoid blood collection, or are seeking a convenient regenerative therapy alternative. During your consultation, our providers will discuss whether traditional PRP or platelet-rich support is the best choice for your individual goals and treatment needs.

Pricing

Pricing for regenerative therapy varies based on the treatment approach and body region being addressed. Traditional PRP, Advanced Platelet-Rich Support, and stem cell therapy each have different cost structures.

During your consultation, your provider will discuss pricing options and help determine the most appropriate treatment based on your goals, medical history, and desired outcomes. See the services pricing page for details.

We accept HSA and FSA payment, offer financing through Cherry, and post current new patient offers that may reduce your first month's cost. Insurance coverage for regenerative therapies is generally limited, but HSA and FSA funds can typically be used. Keystone is an out-of-network practice and does not bill insurance directly.

What Your First Visit Looks Like

Your first visit takes about 45 minutes. Your provider reviews your medical history, current symptoms, and injury or condition history. Any recent imaging (X-rays, MRIs) that shows the affected joint or tissue is helpful to bring to your consultation.

During your consultation, our providers will evaluate your goals and determine whether traditional PRP, Advanced Platelet-Rich Support, or stem cell therapy is the most appropriate regenerative therapy for your needs.

If traditional PRP is recommended, the treatment typically involves a blood draw during a subsequent visit, centrifuge processing, and injection into the treatment area. If Advanced Platelet-Rich Support or stem cell therapy is recommended, no blood draw is needed and treatment can often begin at the follow-up visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does regenerative therapy cost in Gilbert?

Pricing varies by treatment type. Traditional PRP, Advanced Platelet-Rich Support, and stem cell therapy each have different cost structures depending on the body region being treated. Your provider will discuss pricing during your consultation. The services pricing page has additional detail. HSA, FSA, and financing through Cherry are accepted.

What is the difference between traditional PRP and Advanced Platelet-Rich Support?

Traditional PRP uses your own blood, drawn during your appointment and processed in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. Advanced Platelet-Rich Support uses laboratory-prepared platelet-derived factors that are ready for use at the time of your appointment, with no blood draw required. Advanced Platelet-Rich Support may be an excellent option for patients who are not ideal candidates for traditional PRP, have low platelet counts, or prefer to avoid blood collection.

What body regions can stem cell therapy treat?

At our Gilbert office, stem cell therapy is used to treat conditions across five body regions: knees (knee pain, meniscus tear, ACL/PCL injury, chondromalacia/runner's knee), elbows (tennis elbow, golfer's elbow), shoulders (rotator cuff tears, bursitis), hands and wrists (carpal tunnel, wrist arthritis), and feet and ankles (plantar fasciitis).

Is regenerative therapy really non-surgical?

Yes. All of our regenerative treatments (PRP and stem cell therapy) are non-surgical pain treatments. Treatment involves injection into the affected area, not surgery. This is why we describe our regenerative program as "Don't do pain. Do relief." for patients who want to avoid surgery.

How long does recovery from PRP or stem cell therapy take?

Recovery time depends on the specific treatment and body region. Most patients can return to normal daily activities relatively quickly, though your provider may recommend limiting high-impact activities for a period after treatment. Your provider will discuss recovery expectations specific to your treatment during your consultation.

Can PRP be used for skin and aesthetics as well as joints?

Yes. For aesthetic treatments, PRP may be injected into the skin or combined with procedures such as microneedling to enhance collagen production and improve skin texture, tone, and elasticity. PRP treatments are often referred to as "natural rejuvenation" because they utilize your body's own growth factors.

Is regenerative therapy covered by insurance?

Insurance coverage for regenerative therapies (PRP, stem cell) is generally limited. We are an out-of-network practice and do not bill insurance directly. Patients typically use HSA, FSA, or financing through Cherry to make treatment accessible.

Do I need a referral for regenerative therapy at Keystone?

No. Family Nurse Practitioners are licensed independent providers in Arizona. New patients schedule directly. Bring any recent imaging (X-rays, MRIs) or medical records related to the joint or tissue issue, and we will review them during your consultation.

Who is a good candidate for regenerative therapy in Gilbert?

Good candidates are adults dealing with chronic joint pain, injury recovery, or age-related wear who want a non-surgical option. They have often tried conservative treatments (rest, physical therapy, medications) without adequate relief. They understand regenerative therapy is a process, not a one-time fix. They want honest evaluation from a provider with real clinical background.
